Thanks fear!
Of you, I dreaded the night.
As the darkness looms
Forcing me to my mother’s Bosom
She wraps her arms around me
I felt the warmth
And I knew love and the protection of Holy Doctrines
Thanks fear!
Of failures of life overcome.
Terrors of night
And arrows by day,
Nor came near.
Of perseverance and hard work
And success blossomed like the flower
Thanks fear!
The road was steep and slippery.
Of friends who left
Days of dismay and sorrow overtook
But no! There’s more to live for
And joy to give
Thanks fear!
When pleasure turned addiction
Of companies besought that misled
A search for happiness turned sour
But faith was strong, and hope struck
A new man was begot
Thanks fear
For I fear no more
A firm hold on the Holy Doctrines,
Saith, a greater one, abides within
Than those without
